Our strategy is to become the leading global mining company by investing capital in the commodities that deliver long-term returns and offer the most attractive risk-return profiles to shareholders. We have developed a portfolio of world-class, low-cost, long-life operating assets and growth projects which focus on these structurally attractive commodities.

To help realise our ambition, we aspire to become the country’s mining investment, partner and employer of choice.

Investment of choice

Everything that we hope to achieve for our stakeholders, particularly government, communities and employees, must be built on a platform of superior financial performance. To achieve this, we are:

  • Uplifting the performance of our long-life asset base through cost and productivity improvements
  • Integrating a stronger performance culture and streamlining our management model
  • Prioritising capital expenditure towards those businesses and development projects that are expected to perform most strongly in the near term
