We invest a great deal of resources into developing the skills of our employees. Learning and development are all about ensuring competency, which is critical to our objective of working safely. Our strategy in this area not only ensures this competency but provides members of our workforce with opportunities for development.
A standardised set of development programmes complement business unit-specific initiatives and include high potential graduate, management development and leadership development programmes.
We also offer employees, contractors and members of local communities the opportunity to acquire literacy and numeracy skills through our adult-based education and training (ABET) programmes. Almost 6,000 people are enrolled at our ABET centres across the country.
